I've been relentlessly teased, mocked, and taunted for being his fan.
My sanity's no doubt been questioned when I've defended him.
When I wore a tshirt that had a picture of him on it in public, I got many, many stares.
Yknow what? Let the haters hate. I love him, and I pity anyone who hasn't taken time to see the real him, or at least listen to his beautiful music. You're missing out.
The man gave me so much inspiration, and he impacted my life in such a big way. I've followed his career since I was a little girl, and have never grown tired of him or his music. Nor have I ever lost faith in him. No matter what, I never believed for a second that he'd ever harm another living thing.
I'm proud to say I was right, and happy that my trust in him wasn't misplaced.
He will be terribly missed.
